A Year of Momentum: 2024 in Review

Despite industry-wide uncertainty early in the year, 2024 had a strong finish.  December, traditionally a slower period in the corporate housing world, was anything but quiet for AvenueWest.

“In November and early December, we signed more leases than we did in the previous 90 days combined,” shared Angela Healy, AvenueWest CEO & Co-Owner.

The post-election period has had a noticeable impact on the market. According to Healy, “Everyone was on the sidelines. It almost didn’t matter what the outcome was; there was a feeling of being pent-up. The country needed some resolution. And once we got it, there was a collective desire to just move forward.”

Looking Ahead: A Bullish 2025 Forecast

As we look ahead to 2025, there are reports supporting AvenueWest’s optimistic outlook for the corporate housing and property investment sectors.

Positive Economic Indicators
The Wall Street Journal notes that the Federal Reserve is likely to hold interest rates steady, signaling greater caution about future rate decreases.

Commercial Real Estate Outlook
Deloitte’s 2025 Commercial Real Estate Outlook reports that over 68% of respondents expect improvements across various areas, including cost of capital, capital availability, property prices, transaction activity, leasing activity, rental growth, and vacancies.

Midterm Rentals as a Strategic Investment
PadSplit highlights mid-term rentals as a robust investment strategy for 2025, offering stability, flexibility, and high returns for investors.

These insights align with AvenueWest’s anticipation of a bullish start to 2025, with increased activity in corporate relocations, mid-term rentals, and property investments. The end-of-year surge in activity suggests a pent-up demand finally being released, and we are ready to meet the growing needs of our clients.
